"The room was clean and spacious with a great view of the garden . The hotel itself needs some updating , blown windows peeling paint work in the bar reception area .The staff were polite and professional even though they were obviously understaffed ! Well done Ben you were excellent at your job . Keeping everyone served whilst also checking guests in . Unfortunately the evening meal wasn’t the best , but in the morning the breakfast more than made up for it . A selection of of pastries, fresh...
"this place was good for 1 night only; the food left lots to be desired,
The evening meal was very disappointing. The breakfast was dreadful; the eggs were so overcooked they were crisp on the bottom and all around the edges. The staff were somewhat laid-back. I would not recommend this place to anyone."
"I found this pub when looking for a room with a hot tub for one night away. It’s in a very quiet place with nice scenery.
We received a very warm welcome from friendly, pleasant staff. We found all staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. Towels, robes, fan, tea and coffee making facility, secluded garden which was not overlooked and a hot tub. The bed was very comfortable.
Food was cooked to order and very tasty....
"Stayed here a few days for a personal retreat, to have a nice quiet place to sit and work, in pleasant surroundings. This place was perfect for that. Ticked all my boxes: parking, en-suite bathroom, desk in room. There is a common area with microwave oven and cutlery and plates/bowls and tea/coffee (there is tea/coffee and kettle in the room anyway), so I never ran out of hot drinks. The view outside my window was very pleasant - a green field sloping up to some houses in the distance. Just what...
"I wanted to know if they could give me a room with a shower tray. No reply.
I needed to cancel due to illness and then neither I could get hold of them. As a result I had to pay for a hotel I could not use.
Expedia were unable to sort out this issue.
Such poor communication means I will not use this hotel ever.
I also am disappointed Expedia could not get the hotel to agree to basic customer service like being responsive to customer enquiries"
"We had a wonderful stay at the Pembroke Arms. It’s set in a beautiful location and was the ideal base for exploring Salisbury. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Our room was absolutely gorgeous — beautifully decorated, comfortable and full of character. We really couldn’t fault our stay and would definitely return."
"Unique room in a converted 1885 wagon was fun! But pretty rustic, don't expect big luxury.
No toiletries (soap) were provided, but there were towels.
The pub has good pizza!"
"Stayed here for 2 nights and will definitely stay again! The rooms were nice and cosy, great food options, quiet location, friendly staff and only a few minutes drive from car parks to walk in the New forest. Highly recommend"
"Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself.
Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you.
it was a dream."
"This Inn is a olde style building with wooden beams in the bedrooms etc. As such with this type of building there are low ceilings and hardly a straight wall anywhere. We found that our room although quaint wasn’t spotless as other places we’ve stayed. One of the two window blinds didn’t work, we couldn’t get it to drop down. Not a huge issue as the other blind did close. The biggest issue for us was that one of the two electric fans in the room was so dirty that if you had switched it on the...
