"We loved staying at the Manor House for São João. We could easily walk to the river front to join the festivities and then walk back to the manor house and enjoy the fireworks from the privacy of our terrace. The staff was amazing! Our only hang up was a bit of bad timing as the manor house’s green house (the unit we rented to stay in) had just had flood and it ruined their beautiful flooring and the bathroom had a moldy smell. But they had plans to fix it so we know we’ll back again another...

"The first room we were lut in was not a room. It was so little thta we could.not store our (cabin) luggage anywhere but on the bed. The bathroom was srinky and also tiny, tiny...you could barely turn around yourself without impacting against the walls, sink, paper holder...There was a tiny little window in lhe top left corner, hardly accessible...so no air. There was no aircon. The floor was sticky. We complained and were immediately (they knew we would complain) put in another, adjacent room....
