" Nice, simple, secluded, close to botanical garden."

"It was a tale of two halves. Nicky and Lisa on reception were really helpful and pleasant, as were the other staff we interacted with, but housekeeping let the side down. Lipstick marked glasses and a less than pristine bath on arrival; our cups weren't refreshed but towels were (even though we didn't ask for them) on the second day. It is a lovely spot though."

"Lovely hotel in the beautiful village of Alderley Edge. Easy to find, plently of parking and the staff were all very friendly and genuine. The room itself was well presented, very clean and comfortable. Useful amenities with plenty of tea bags, coffee milk etc with lovely biscuits. The restaurant was fantastic, good lighting comfy seats great atmosphere eith attentive and friendly staff. The food was very good, and the fish was the size of a shark! "Really enjoyed it at the Rutland , booked a deluxe four poster which was so lovely ,worth every penny ! Breakfast Cooked to order , and served to you , none of the awful buffet type that seems to be the norm now . Delightful coffee shop also . Definitely the place to stay if visiting Bakewell , we will be back !"

"Hotel a little dated but nothing awful, was expected as closing for refit soon. Breakfast wasn’t the best. But was cheap enough not to be fussed. Have stayed in newer and better hotels in Sheffield but did job. Look forward to seeing what happens when it reopens. "

"Far enough away from City Centre but not so far you feel isolated. It is a quaint converted 19th century mansion property with a very relaxed vibe. The restaurant on the ground floor was always full of locals so you know the food is good. Everything you would expect from a local inn. Free, delicious chocolate chips cookies everyday! Within walking distance of the Botanic Gardens and if you have a bike, the Peak District is also close by. I loved Sheffield and I loved the Florentine."
