"We ended our Europe trip with a week at Hotel Borgo di Santa Barbara and it was the perfect choice. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, a great place to unwind. A little distant from Tropea town but no problems with transport to & from, about 15 mins by car a huge 5 stars from me fir this wonderful resort!"

"This hotel is listed as a luxurious resort and while it has many amenities such as a spa that was wonderful and brand new and a great pool, much of it needs repairs and updating. They have no luxurious amenities in the room. The furnishings are inexpensive, plastic soap holders and plastic trash can old sheets that are thread bare and rough, towels that are worn and stained we had to ask for new. No towels at the pool or at the sub chairs. You have to rent them daily from the desk if you need...

"This is a very unique hotel, it has a real 70s vibe however, don't get me wrong it also has a real charm. From the elevator down to the beach, to the tropical plants, to the hand paintings to the live music at night. Very quaint. Dinners and breakfasts were good as well. I did find they didn't speak much English and catered more to older German clients. Oh and it does have a nice view of Stromboli at night "
