"Property is in very old and damaged condition, you can hear the floor squeaks from everywhere, bar menu very poor, dinner even poorer, breakfast very dried and not fresh. My room wasn’t cleaned at all the, not even the bin emptied or fresh towels. Cleanliness wasn’t good. Everything inside and outside is old and rusty, besides the location this hotel has nothing good. Staff in the leisure centre bit rude"

"Lovely stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout our visit. The back lawn/outdoor area was absolutely lovely and very relaxing, with a great atmosphere. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful despite it being an extremely busy bank holiday weekend. The food was really good throughout our stay and the bar area was a great place to unwind in the evening. Would certainly return."

"Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. Breakfast is over-priced (plenty of coffee shops/delicatessens in Poole), but if you need to eat one,...

"A gen of a stay! We had the "Crab Apple" room, at the rear of the building, on first floor over top of the kitchen (?). Very quiet apart from the rattling bath exhaust fans of the room. Apparently those can be switched off, but we never found the switch. No other sounds st all in the room. Comfy bed, good cooked breakfast, and great staff. We also enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the very good on-site restaurant. Easy walk to the nearby art gallery and to the beaches."

"Stayed at the Orchid over the bank holiday. We had a heatwave and was thankful the rooms had Air Con! Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. One room very nice, had queen bed maybe that was executive. Other room was a little small and did have some stains on the carpet, needed touching up. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Hotel foyer and bar done very nicely and a pretty courtyard area. Have to pay for parking but it’s a great location and parking is a nightmare in Bournemouth. 5-10 min...

"Had a lovely nights stay. Room was huge really well appointed and super comfortable and spotless clean. Great location in centre of town. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. One slightly odd thing both the bed and the side of the bath were extraordinarily high. I’m 5ft 1 and literally had to climb into bed and into the over bath shower. Don’t know how I would have faired if I had mobility issues. Really nice Hotel and throughly recommended."

"The hotel had a nice indoor pool, a good breakfast and the staff were all helpful and friendly. It’s a short walk to the seafront and into town. Our room was in the lodge - a separate building but adjacent to main hotel, all clean and a decent sized room. Small print stuff…Our parking was chargeable but I think I read somewhere that it’s free if you book directly with the hotel. We also paid a £50 refundable deposit per room per night."
