"This is the oldest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. For a 4 star hotel, I expect the rooms to look like the renovated pictures but most of the rooms are very outdated and mold stains everywhere. Location was good though."
"A positive is the room was nice. Three negatives were the lack of shuttle services to get to the airport for our flight, no elevator so we had to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs, and a plugged drain in the shower which lead to standing in dirty water during the shower. Since we picked this hotel because of the airport shuttle services we were disappointed."
"The hotel was great. Lovely helpful staff. Great location in San Marco and right next to gondola service.
Only downside was a hard bed but this was promptly sorted out when mentioned to the staff. Definitely 5/5."
"**Charming historic gem in the heart of Venice**
Staying at Hotel Duodo felt like stepping into old Venice. The building is historic and full of character, and the interiors are beautifully decorated with real attention to detail. Every corner feels elegant and warm, exactly what you hope for in a Venetian hotel.
The staff were wonderful. They were kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they made our stay feel easy and personal.
The location is the hotel's biggest...
"The best thing is it’s just besides train station, just 2 minutes walk so although it’s far from Venice Island but in 30 minutes you can reach Venezia St. Lucia. The property was kept clean, spacious and breakfast was good. The hotel looks like very old and they have some old furnishings which need repair. Overall it needs some refurbishment to look like a modern hotel. They took credit card information as a security guarantee which was strange and faced first time in any hotel in Europe, even...
"Clean rooms but very small- may be usual in Venice. Some rooms are accessible by elevator. You may have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Staff helped out."
"Great location for a trip to Venice - just 10mins on the train. Staff were amazing allowing us to check in early and stay a little longer as had a late flight."
"We stayed in one of the apartments owned and operated by the hotel and loved it! The unit was roomy and had a kitchenette with a fridge, hotplate and Nespresso machine plus dishes and pots and pans, everything you would need to make a meal. It was quiet, private and an excellent location. An excellent choice!"
"This hotel was a gem of a find.
About 15-20 on foot from the transit terminal, on a quieter side canal, no hoards of pedestrian traffic line the main routes, but just a short walk to all the main tourist routes. It is a bit of a hike , maybe :45 to San Marco square. The facilities and staff were top notch, the breakfast satisfy, with plenty of options for an American palate. We stayed 5 nights. Would be confident to recommend to friends family."
