"Fantastic hotel. Stayed here for the second time a year in between. Stunning boutique style hotel that’s embraced its past and merged well with contemporary features. Wonderful classically designed and decorated rooms oozing quality with clear attention to detail. Bathroom well appointed and immaculately kept and cleaned. Bed was super comfortable with plenty of space in the room to sit and relax. Surprising for a city centre hotel these days! "

"We came to an event at the hotel: arrived early to get ready in our room, stayed overnight and enjoyed the buffet breakfast before heading home. Staff on reception were so lovely; always attentive and ready to help. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. During the event we attended, the food was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was good - pretty standard buffet breakfast - but the area didn’t seem to be very well stocked...

"My partner and I have stayed at a few Village Hotel locations, all of which have been lovely. This was no different. Staff were helpful and accommodating, the room was clean and well kept, and the food was great. "

"Hotel and location great. Toilet blocked in the morning and we told reception when we went to breakfast but still wasn’t fixed when we came back an hour later. Had to call again and insist someone comes to sort out it as there isn’t a toilet brush in the room, finally someone came but initially they said there were no maintenance people , it was 7:30 am when we first told them "

"Staff and service were great. Reception area was very nice but the rooms looked a little tired and could do with an update. TV had few channels that actually worked, only BBC and a few others."

"Fine for a busines hotel. Bit tatty and no frills and the plug in the bath got stuck."

"Lovely hotel nice rooms staff really nice. There was a wedding in which did mean music until late that you can hear the booming of in the bedroom and later drunk people on corridors being loud and In car park raised voices due to too much drink. I would stay again 100% as loved the hotel but would check to ensure no functions as too noisy with music till late then drunk people that aren’t considerate of other guests "
