"The room was nice and big but quite warm with no air conditioning. I was offered a fan but I am a light sleeper and we did have the windows open but it was quite noisy early morning. Having said that it would not put me off staying again in the same hotel. The hotel is perfectly positioned between Retford and Doncaster ideal for visiting family and friends."

"We stayed here overnight for a friend’s 60th nearby. The area is quiet but we knew that already as we had visited with those friends on a number of occasions. It was close to Blyton’s Ice Cream with a vast array of delicious homemade ice creams to choose from, and a lovely little tea room around the corner called Tiffin’s. "Had a very enjoyable stay, the room was fantastic we had a suite with a huge bath tub, I am 6’ 3 so struggle to fit most tubs but this one had plenty of room for two! The trip was made even better by the lovely weather so we got full use of the hotel’s fabulous outdoor pool which was lovely so clean and warm too. All in all we had a great stay "

"A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"
