"We had an amazing stay from start to finish. Ian gave us a tour if the castle along with a history. The rooms were cozy, the bed was very comfortable. The owners even gave us a ride to the tram when we were unable to find a taxi. Sue and Ian are a friendly helpful couple. "

"A great location, very quiet and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The best food we ate in Scotland, the venison was to die for. "

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"Cannot say enough how wonderful this hotel is, the bed was so comfortable and had lovely cosy linens on it, the room itself was well done up and had a view of a beautiful clock tower, and the breakfast served was amazing! Our only regret is not eating supper at the restaurant, I’m sure it would have been amazing too!"

"This hotel truly has a wow factor. Impressive from the moment you arrive. Michelle made the check in a delight. Perfect combination of professional and friendly. The room was incredible. It was a true castle experience. The house keeping staff added a level of excellence. Both dinner and breakfast were perfect. This is a property not to be missed."

"Carberry is an excellent choice for a stay near Edinburgh. I wanted the castle experience and this home has so much history, it exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was delicious with wonderful options, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, everything we needed and larger than I expected for a standard room. Definitely staying again! "
