"Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"

"Second time we have stayed at Bayswell Park while attending Scottish Open golf. Very helpful staff and good rooms which we think have been recently refurbished. Our room on first floor had magnificent views of the Forth. Our evening meal was excellent"

"The check-in process was easy and headache free. The breakfast/ kitchen team were kind and helpful. Note that breakfast closes 30 min earlier on weekdays vs weekends (1030 vs 11). "No air conditioning! No ice! No fan! No personal refrigerator! Communal cups and bowls were always used up before we came out to make our breakfast. Traveling with insulin was really difficult knowing I had to leave it in a communal fridge! Rooms are very, very small with no place for luggage or clothing storage. Maybe normal for European countries, but not expected for American travelers."

"Room was kept clean, as was the rest of the building. Access to the restaurant and bar was great. The hotel itself was also nearby lots of other places that was nice for our stay, such as other restaurants, the bus stop, grocery store and the beach. It was a nice place to stay away from the busyness of Edinburgh, but still access the city through a 20-30 minute but ride. Only negative was the mattress wasn't in amazing condition"
