"This is possibly the most unique, charming hotel in which I've ever stayed. A retrofitted ship, the guest rooms and public rooms are stylish, elegant and comfortable. The location, within a 3km stroll of the Royal Mile, is perfect, surrounded by restaurants and attractions. As for the staff .... it would be very difficult for me to overstate how superb they are. Polite, friendly, attentive, completely charming; had only the most positive interactions with every staff person we encountered. Special shout-outs to Tom, in the lounge, and Alfonso, on the front desk. Would that all hospitality staff were of their calibre. "

"We arrived early as we were at a Taylor Swift concert that evening, my daughters were panicking that they wouldn't be able to get ready as we had been travelling for around five hours. A chap called Jamie saved the day and made us all feel very welcome and managed to get us in a room a couple of hours early. The whole team were working flat out to accommodate everybody but Jamie went above and beyond. He then gave us travel advice to the stadium as we were next to the tram line which went directly to Murrayfield! The bar service was great later that night and breakfast was busy but organised. A great effort by all the team."
