"This was a wonderful hotel. Nice big room, with a great view. Nice gardens, and walking paths. It was close to the train to Edinburgh and the airport."

"Staying in the Tartan Room at the Dunclutha Guest House for one night was really enjoyable. The bed was comfy, the room was nice and cosy, Julie and Richard are very friendly people. The homemade Shortbread was lovely (Do recommend giving that a try) and the breakfast was lovely as well, They serve breakfast at half 7 but they were happy to accommodate to serve breakfast at 7am I cannot say anything negative about my stay, it was worth the price and if you are planning to stay here, Leven is a nice town and is a good 10 minute walk to the recently opened Leven Railway Station or Bus Station if you rely on public transport "

"We stayed in the John Muir suite and had a fantastic seaview. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Great location for a stroll along the beautiful coastline. We stayed 2 nights and had a lovely relaxed time in a great hotel."

"Beautiful property overlooking North Berwick golf links and the sea. If you are looking for a small quaint European hotel this isn’t the place. This is a large property with spacious rooms. Very nice spa. Great access to the golf links or a walk to the beach. Relatively short walk to downtown. "

"I stayed at this property as part of a 2 week break to Scotland and to prepare for the Edinburgh marathon. The staff were friendly and efficient, choice of food in the Restaurant was good and I used the gym and swimming pool which were also very good! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Portobello beach and either a long walk or bus you are into the centre where all the attractions are. "

"We stopped at the Pine Marten for 2 nights. The hotel is in a very convenient spot and was well located for us. Our room was fine - clean and comfortable with all the basic facilities necessary. Check in and check out was easy. We had a ground floor room with level access. The staff at the hotel and associated pub were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and they were very keen to make sure that my food allergies were catered for. A good hotel 👍"

"Wonderful! The room, service, food - everything was excellent! Staff was so friendly, we did the B&B option and breakfast was off a menu, so we got to have something different every day. We didn’t plan on having dinner at the restaurant as much as we did, but the food was SOOOO GOOD, it was hard to decide to eat elsewhere. Desert was also delicious. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The setting is in the country, so lovely views around the property, nice courtyard if the weather cooperates. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!"
