"No English speaking or want to speak staff on site. Very unfriendly front desk staff.
Wed. City is mostly closed, including all restaurants. Hotel did not inform guests and were not prepared. We did eat at their last reserved time at Chinese restaurant, which was terrible and not our choice for dinner. Only thing open.
Breakfast was same almost everyday. Not fantastic, but do able
Water was clean but not too hot.
We will not return."

This hotel set the new standard for my wife to travel to Japan now. It is sit right below Inuyama castle and the hot spring is just perfect after all day out. It's garden (free with room key) is relaxing and tea ceremony (600Yen) was great. The hotel is well designed and the breakfast set (5000 pp) is well worth it.
The staff is helpful for dinner reservation, taxi, or guide to local place. The hotel is 8 - 10 min walk to the Inuyama street where you can visit multiple shrines and walk to...

On a recent family trip to Japan, we stopped in Gifu to see the cormorant fishing (a fascinating and enjoyable experience), and had the good fortune to spend a night at the Juhachiro. It was a fantastic experience. The location was great -- an easy bus ride from the train station, right at the dock where the fishing and spectator boats leave from, in an area of town with a number of interesting traditional shops and restaurants. Our room was a large, extremely tastefully decorated Japanese...
