The Granvia South Gate is a great location and hotel in Hiroshima where we would definitely stay again! Next time we would probably get a larger room, as the premium room is a bit on the small side. The western style breakfast was good and the only thing i would change there is the end time from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. We also used the laundry there which was a great amenity for a long travel trip like ours. The hotel does not have a formal bar, which would have been nice after a long day of...

A good stay in Hiroshima at the Mercure - centrally located and about a 20min walk from the train station or take a short tram ride from the station. One thing that drew us to this hotel was the washer/dryer combo in the room. They also provide detergent. We were able to get three loads of laundry done BUT it takes approx 3.5hrs for each load (washing and drying) so plan accordingly. The hotel is immaculate and staff are very polite. While the property is 30 years old, it retains its focus on guest service. Plenty of amenities, including spa, pool, health club. Included if on club floor. Also a convenience store and wonderful service. Rooftop restaurant and other restaurants. Breakfast was included for me. I feel it was an excellent value. The location can’t be better. Walkable to Peace Memorial Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome.
