The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was good quality, nice bar area including outdoor seating. hotel was in a great location with leeds castle very close by and multiple country pubs within a 10 minute drive"

"I recommend the Black Horse. Very quiet and restful. The main building (pub & restaurant) is quite old and interesting with multiple levels and interior structures. The Garden Area was a delightful area for a pint and dinner, service was friendly as was the check-in. The grounds are sloped creating an inviting green impression. "The staff were very caring, kind and considerate. They were breath fresh air. There were areas of the estate that could do with some work but overall, it was very good. The grounds were beautiful to hold, and the food was very good. The room was good but the beds was a little uncomfortable and the pillows flat. It would’ve been nice if there was a minibar but none of these spoiled our time there. We would come again. thank you for making our time there special."

"Lovely property - new and refurbished rooms. Staff were nice and friendly and really loved the grounds. I love that you can go and play a game of snooker or use the table tennis/ tennis court facilities etc. Its also a very easy drive into Canterbury - approx 15 mins. Only negatives which makes it lose a star is that breakfast was poor and a gym that is seriously outdated/ small. Small attention to details missing in the refurbed rooms when you enter the property the doors are left open so...

"the hotel was beautiful, lovely room and amazing bathroom. parking was difficult, the hotel us on a main road so nowhere to unload. nearest parking is above a shopping mall opposite that seems to have a million exits, i was directed to the wrong one but some not very helpful locals. i had 3 heavy bags so it took the shine off the stay somewhat. also the hotel has no staff on site so everything is keyless. weird but functional but they are available on text message and phone. there’s no food...
