"The property is in a nice location for walking distance to the town, about one kilometre. The rooms are in need of repair, the doors, the bathroom. The pool is in a separate building and does not look like the photos at all. I’ve never seen a worse hotel gym. One treadmill but no electricity to plug it in. There is no lights in the gym but there is some natural light to see. There are a couple free weights to use.
It is $60.000 for one kilogram of laundry to wash, dry and fold. It is done...

"None of the listed amenities actually exist. No pool. No spa. Horrible location way out on the edge of town.
On the positive side, the girl at the front desk was very helpful. She helped me get a train ticket out of Lao Cai. I was going to stay three nights but left after one. Also the bed was nice and comfortable after a few weeks of hard traveling.
Oh, and there was supposed to be a free breakfast but there was no cook so it consisted of a cup of really bad cold coffee.

"Overall a pleasant experience staying here. The rooms were spacious and they cleaned them well daily. The location is excellent, right beside the lake and a few minutes walk into the heart of sapa village. The only downside was the bed which was not comfortable - I could feel the springs - and the pool wasn't clean, although it's not exactly swimming weather atm (mid 20'). Staff were excellent and breakfast was decent with lots of fruit and cooked options"
