"Wonderful, the staff were immediately helpful and relaxed. We were allowed into our room early, got a parking space and it was flawless. The breakfast was perfect, our stay perfect and I would come again. We only had 4 teabags in the room so had to buy some the second day but its hardly a big issue. "One night stay, staff friendly and efficient booked in, in no time. Room in a quiet area of the hotel, although small perfectly adequate for my needs. Comfortable bed with plrenty of pillows. Surprised to find out the pool, jacuzzi, sauna remains open until 22:00, so had the place to myself for about an hour. Breakfast was excellent with good staff making sure all my needs were catered for. Hotel, although redecorated is showing a lot of signs that it is old and dated. There was cracked pavers...

"All great apart from the charge of £20 per person to use pool facilities. Very disappointing as having travelled all day in the heat was looking forward to a cool down in the pool. "

"The hotel was in a great location, close enough for shopping, dining and nightlife. Although the room was clean, as in bedding and bathroom, the room itself was very tired and in need of updating. It served its purpose of a last minute overnight stay, but probably wouldn’t stay again at that price while its in its current state. Staff were polite and friendly."

"Inspite of a wedding going on the hotel staff were as attentive to my family group. The spa facility was good to use too. Food especially breakfast was great. The disabled parking was also easy to access. My only downside was that the patio door of my downstairs room didnt open. It also took me a while to find the tea/ coffee and kettle hidden in a wardrobe. Otherwise a perfectly pleasant time . "

"Lack of staff meant being locked out of our room as the keycard battery died. The young lady on reception tried her best but for some reason the spares are kept in a locked safe by the manager. She was busy and didn’t seem to care whilst she tended to an almost empty restaurant."

"Nice hotel about 10min drive from chester centre. Beds comfy, nice ala carte breakfast in morning. Pool / spa is superb, one of best i have ever been. Staff really nice. Would recommend "

"Room and food good/OK. Staff and Service VERY good. Riverside location and floating deck add touch of perfection. Uphill walk through Grosvenor Park to city centre less than 15 minutes. We’ll return on our next visit. "
