"The hotel was great by itself. Room was great and the overall space was also great. Easy and plenty of parking. It is a decent distance outside of the town centre so you need to taxi or drive to avoid the 30 min walk. I would say we had a different experience with the bar restaurant than perhaps others. While the service was good, the food was not. I’d place it last amongst 10 days of meals we had in Ireland. The fish and chips one had was not crispy rather a bit soggy. So consider options outside of the hotel if you have the ability. "

"We had a lovely stay with Patricia. Great location about 35 mins out of Galway so you can have the best of a big city then retreat to a quiet room in the country. Full Irish breakfast available and fascinating castle and Celtic garden very close by. Had a fabulous meal in nearby Oughterard at Powers Thatch too. Would recommend if you want to be a bit out of town. "

"Staff were very friendly, food was great but the only complaint I have is where kids running around and kicking the bedroom doors especially my elderly parents bedroom door where they actually damaged the door plus it happened a few times. When we complained felt it wasn’t taken seriously. Plus a resident on our floor followed the 4 boys after kicking the doors and told front desk staff and they weren’t very worried about it or concerned. He felt they didn’t care. Another resident had kids and came running out to a few of the residents (including myself) in the hallway not happy this happened. Major problem going for need to have cameras on each floor. "
