"Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot."

"The lovely couple who run the inn did a great job keeping the charm of the old building while providing all the modern conveniences one would appreciate in a hotel. The breakfast was fresh and made to order. We needed extra water as we could not find any to purchase on our day of cycling to the town. It was Sunday and everything was closed. They were so very generous with the number of bottles they gave us. There was a secure place to store our bikes. I would definitely stay there again. "

"The hotel/guest house is ideally situated in a quieter residential area, but still within easy reach of all amenities. The room was clean and bright, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom facilities good. The service was excellent, if perhaps a little slow, but that did not detract from my experience in any way.
