I cannot imagine ever getting bored with that view over the water, out towards Porto Montenegro with the island and it's little church in the middle. And the staff are probably the most helpful and attentive we have ever experienced....and we travel quite a lot. "

"Gorgeous views. The beach is perfect. Staff are very friendly. Our room was lovely and big, cleaned every day of our stay which was nice. The old town is about 45 minutes walk but it’s an easy walk and the views are spectacular along the way. Reception will call you a taxi if you prefer, that’s about 6 euros and takes maybe 5-10 mins. Our stay was very relaxing and we’ll definitely be back. "

"With only nine bedrooms there was a peaceful and relaxing vibe, especially on the rooftop pool terrace. We often had it to ourselves - more loungers would be a good idea for busier times. Breakfast served by the sea was of a high quality and we also had dinner there one evening which we enjoyed. The receptionist was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and bookings as well as helping us book a taxi to Dubrovnik. We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. "

The spa was lovely - the website doesn’t actually advertise how many facilities are available, but there’s a salt room, two saunas, two steam rooms and two jacuzzis. There should be more tours and sea based activities on offer, however. "

"After traveling for 40 days throughout Croatia and Montenegro, this hotel stood out as one of our favorites. Good design is not only beautiful, it functions well. This is the one hotel that delivers on both fronts. Situated perfectly across from Sveti with it's own sandy beach, terrific restaurant and amazing staff. Our dinner on the outdoor patio was one of our best meals of the month, while the breakfast buffet offers everything you would want to wake up to. I highly recommend Hotel California...
