Beautiful property, lovely personnel and pretty grounds. The only negative I have is that the gate at the road to the actual residential building is unmarked, unlit and several kilometers from the main gate (which is marked and lit at night), making a late night check in (in the dark) very difficult.
I am sure this is being addressed since that entrance appears very new.

A nice and convenient hotel in a very beautiful place, one of the most wonderful I have seen in my current trip.
The nearest parking is not always available at evening, I recommend to arrive early

He allowed us to have our room immediately and it was perched on the corner with two windows looking out at the old clock tower and the roofs of the town. Hotel Fontanelle is in a small town. There is a superb restaurant (pizzeria notte) and the surrounding area is quintessential Italy. Just check your bus schedule, and be patient with the late arrivals.
