Ky Dai is a fortress in front of the Citadel. Over the years this flag pole has been destroyed by Mother nature and by war. But here it stands again 37 metres high or 121 feet. We walked through the Citadel, but this was a nice spot to have a packed lunch and imagine what this place was like back in the reign of 6th Gia Long (1807).

"Do not believe the text on the hotel website. It is definitely not the most impressive hotel i hue and state of the art. But it is clean and with the amities promised. But, and this is a big but.. The hotel staff are VERY bad at english. In the reception they would rather lie, which they do, than ask again. "We can't fault our experience at the Silk Path. From the late check in, welcome snack, to the sumptuous breakfast buffet in an elegant dining room through to the lovely gardens and pool area, all was beyond expectations. Due to the typhoons perhaps there were few other quests but that is not a reflection on the hotel or it's staff. Would definitely stay at this or other Silk Paths again. "
