No cheese whatsoever the first day and no toast or bread of any kind. Slices of supermarket cheese added the next day but with no bread, hardly counts as continental. The hot breakfast was cooked to order but was lacking in flavour. Cant speak for the dinner as the menu was not inspiring and the breakfast experience put us off. "I did pick a room expedia got involved and changed my selected room leaving me and my partener with a bedroom 3 floors up stairs im 76 my partener with bad knees it was hard work but the host was brilliant carried a lugage for up"

"This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....
