"This hotel was ideal for my 2 night stay in Penrith. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and robes/slippers available for the pool and/or spa. Pool and gym opening hours were good and the gym is well equipped. Staff in all areas were helpful and friendly. The restaurant menu offered a varied selection and I ate there on both evenings. The atmosphere overall was relaxing. It was an ideal place to stay for my first visit to Penrith and I'd be happy to stay again. "

"Cosy feeling pub. Fantastic food. Nicely furnished cosy rooms but limited plugs for phone charging etc. We were in the room at the front above the pub, quite noisy from the pub below at night could make it difficult for some to sleep. Staff were welcoming and helpful."

"1 Townhead cottage was brilliant a real home from home. Plenty room for the 3 of us and our dog all rooms very spacious. Everything was in cottage that you require for a quality stay short or long. Kirkby Thore has post office/shop which is well stocked and has all your dailly needs. Penrith was 10 mins away with supermarkets, Mcdonalds and would recommended Lotus Garden chinese takeaway too. Ideal location for walks, Pooley Bridge, Kirby Stephen and Lake District. Will 100% recommend to friends and family and would definitely return "

"Amazing bungalow in a lovely quiet area. Beds were so comfy I didn’t want to get out ! There were toys for the children, a jigsaw for the grown ups, dog treats and poop bags if you had a dog. We had crisps and biscuits left out for our arrival. What a nice touch. The hot tub was amazing, we didn’t want to get out of that either ! The only downside was we weren’t there long enough to enjoy it all. "
