"Die Unterkunft ist sauber und schön. Leider ist das Schlafzimmer zur Strasse gerichtet und wenn die Traktoren vorbeifahren ist es sehe laut. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Die Terrasse und der Innenhof ist eher trist. Es stehen 2 Stühle und ein Tisch da, keine Pflanze, kein Schirm etc. Das Bett ist mit 1,40m okay, die Matratze sollte dringend getauscht werden. Wenn sich einer hinlegt kippt die Matratze und man rutscht auf der Plastikunterlage hin und her und man hört leider, dass man auf Plastik...

"Jose's place was very clean, comfortable, quiet and ideally located for us. The view from the top terrace is of the beautiful beach and mountains. The kitchen was stocked with many appliances and dishes. If you don't feel like cooking, several restaurants are within walking distance. You can walk to the beach as well. This a well-kept home in a charming area and we highly recommend it for your stay on the Azores."

Terra Nostra Garden Hotel

"We spent three nights at Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, and it was completely worth it. We booked a standard room and requested a higher floor; the professional front desk staff accommodated us with room 138 based on availability. The room had a fantastic view, though the bed was a bit small for two. The hotel was meticulously clean, and having access to the garden and thermal pools after hours was the main highlight. The grounds are magical, filled with tall, unique overgrown trees rather than just flowers. Breakfast was phenomenal, featuring fantastic à la carte eggs and omelets served by wonderful staff. The hotel's location makes walking into Furnas village very easy. Driving is manageable since most narrow streets are one-way. Parking is limited; when the overflow lot was closed one night, we parked on a nearby street—a safe 5-to-10-minute walk with plenty of space. My only caveat is that their weekly full pool cleaning is not clearly documented. While we understood the necessity after seeing how clear the water was the next day with all algae removed, a one-night guest arriving during cleaning would struggle to justify the extra cost. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is set in a lovely position over looking the sea, but the “back end of town” feel at the front of the hotel is slightly disappointing. Most things in the town are in easy reach to walk, the hotel has an excellent pool and indoor pool/spa area, the food is very good. Shame there is no music in the evenings. Overall a place we would return to."

"This beautifully renovated home is conveniently located in the center of Furnas. We were able to walk to most venues, which is great because traffic (and parking) in Furnas is busy. The home is furnished tastefully in vintage decor, creating the perfect vibe. The patio and garden space are an oasis with birds in the morning and stars at night. Flowers and comfortable seating make it a lovely place to relax. Maria and Filipe are thoughtful and attentive hosts. I’m so happy we found this rental, and I highly recommend it for your stay in Furnas."

"This was probably the best boutique hotel we’ve ever stayed at. From the small amount of guests to the pool to the parking to the walking access to the town, to the very kind staff to the nice, clean comfortable units. If I could give this place a 11/10 I would, it was more than we ever expected"

"Beautiful experience, felt like a spa from the moment we arrived. Relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Thermal pool amenities are perfect to relax after a day’s activities. Restaurant feels like you’re in a garden, and lots of healthy options. Comfortable rooms and quiet at night. Definitely worth exploring this part of the island. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day!"
