Magnificent Home away from home

From the moment we arrived Phillipe and Beatrice had won our hearts. Campagne Chastel was perfect. We loved everything about it, especially having wine and cheese in their beautiful yard. Phillips told us everything we needed to know to make our 8 day stay so memorable. We cannot wait to return.

Fantastic property!

We enjoyed this property tremendously. We used it as our base camp while we explored Aix and the surrounding areas each day. We so enjoyed coming back and having a swim and relaxing in and near the beautiful pool. We used the BBQ a few times and really enjoyed eating outdoors in the garden. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable- with lovely linens. Philippe and Beatrice were very kind and thoughtful hosts. Highly recommend this property!

A perfect week in Provence

Fantastic, with a large upstairs area and bathrooms, modern yet provincial charm.Philippe and Beatrice gave us privacy but were there if you needed them. They helped us plan and had lots of information on the local area. Lots of outdoor space and pool was beautiful. They met us with refreshments and the hospitality continued, Philippe picked us up from the bus. He also showed us some lavender fields on our last morning.

Great place and location

We very enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very gracious and helpful, and the house and grounds are beautiful. The location makes Aix-en-Provence very accessible, and overall one can make many day-trips by car to the environs. We highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time at Campagne Chastel. We had really fantastic hosts in Phillippe & Beatrice. They are really wonderful and warm people and made us feel very at home. They gave us lots of advice and local guidance. The House was beautiful, quiet and kept really well. Everything was clean we had all the supplies we needed. We had all the necessary facilities and felt very comfortable. The Swimming pool was really lovely and very well maintained. We had the perfect relaxing stay at the Chastel! We will stay again for sure.

Lovely gem in great location

This is a beautiful property, a charming converted farmhouse run by a lovely couple. Philippe and Beatrice are kind, welcoming (they baked us a cake!), and very helpful with suggestions for what to see and where to eat; they truly treated us like family. Before our stay, questions were answered promptly. The apartment is clean and comfortable and attractive. Just a few minutes drive to get into Aix-en-Provence, where you can park and explore the charming town by foot. Aix itself is well-situated for exploring Provence, being fairly central and not far from Avignon, Cassis, the Luberon, Arles, etc. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Provence.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Campagne Chastel. Die Wohnung war sehr geschmackvoll mit antiken Möbeln eingerichtet. Die Küche war ausreichend bestückt und lag im Erdgeschoss. Die beiden Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder (eines mit einer separaten Toilette und ein großes Wohnzimmer lag im ersten Stock. Die Treppe war relativ steil. In der Küche stand ein kleiner Tisch an dem zur Not vier Personen essen können. Da das Wetter aber gepasst hat, konnten wir jedes Mal auf der Terrasse sitzen. Diese lag im Norden, so dass man fast den ganzen Tag im Schatten sitzen konnte. Ein Sonnensegel schattete den Teil ab, der abends noch in der Sonne lag. Das war bei den Temperaturen von bis zu 38 Grad sehr angenehm. Auf dem Gelände befand sich noch eine weitere Ferienwohnung. Es gab einen Platz zum Boule spielen, viel Platz und Spielzeug (Ball, Kricket... ) und einen tollen Pool, den wir jeden Tag nutzen durften. Der Weg zum Einkaufszentrum führte durch einen etwas 2 km langen schattigen Weg an schönen französischen Häusern vorbei. Das Einkaufzentrum bestand aus mehreren Teilen, und man konnte aus drei Bäckereien auswählen. Einen Supermarkt und zwei tolle Obst- und Gemüseläden gab es auch. Metzgerei, Fischladen und Blumenladen etc gab es auch. Die Nähe der Autobahn zum Grundstück und die Auffahrt war zunächst sehr ungewohnt, aber die Autos hörte man kaum und man war dadurch sehr schnell auf dem Weg zum ausgewählten Ziel. Einen Fußweg in die Innenstadt gab es nicht.
