"The hotel boasted pictures online of beautiful, nice rooms but we did not get what we expected. Because we opted for a more cost effective room, we were put in a small cell of a space outside the main castle which felt neither charming or friendly. The walls were bare and dingy and had holes. There were no windows or air conditioning units so we had to sleep with our door open to get fresh air which made us feel uncomfortable. The bed was two twins shoved together with separate sheets and hard...

"Beautiful room with large terrace overlooking the lake. Stunning views. Lovely staff. We didn’t have breakfast because at €18 for a continental breakfast, we thought it was a bit expensive. Parking is a bit tricky. Nice walk to the lakeshore where there were several restaurants open for dinner. Aix is still very quiet in mid May, with lots of restaurants and facilities still closed. "

"What a fantastic place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and the view is out of this world. The room was so elegant and well decorated. I would love to come back and stay again. The restaurant offers fine dining. It is a perfect spot for a special occasion like a wedding, anniversary or just a vacation. The entire hotel is from the set of a movie from the past, true elegance."
