"The property really shows its age, but it was super clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable. There is no one on site, but they have good communication through text, email, and their website. We had no issues and it was easy to get checked in on line."

"We travel with a dog and this was one of the cleanest dog-friendly places we’ve stayed. Staff was very helpful with our last-minute change in plans. Actually, the layout of the room was one of the most efficient I’ve ever been in. We will definitely spend time here again."

"Although the room was old, it was clean except the toilet bowl. Definitely needed to be scrubbed with a pumice stone or something to get rid of the ring, The room felt like I stepped back in time.., brick wall and mustard and red furnishings. The room was comfortable with nice TV, microwave, and refrigerator. The air conditioner was by the bathroom in the back and had a hard time getting to the bed. A bit uncomfortable sleeping on a hot August night. Breakfast was amazing! 5 hot to order choices from the attached cafe. A real restaurant breakfast. Would definitely stay there again."

"The property is very nice and fairly new. Our only complaint was that after arrival to our room, the a/c was making a lot of noise. Called the front desk at about 4:50 pm to report the problem, only to be told maintenance was gone for the day. The next morning we went to the front desk and reported the problem again. Maintenance showed up almost immediately, said bearing going out, and I’ll replace the unit. He did, and all was good. Other than that, all was good."

Rustic Rook Resort Great Sand Dunes

"Wonderful place to allow everyone to enjoy the outdoors. Rooms were spacious and the view of the sand dunes was pretty. Lots of jack rabbits running around. Staff very friendly. Bathrooms were kept very clean. If you enjoy being in the outdoors this is for you, on windy nights the walls of the rooms do shake and can keep you awake if you are a light sleeper but I wrall I would highly recommend and would love to come back in the future. They also supply s'mores fixings on the evening at a fire pit, they have corn hole, sand volleyball and BBQ areas to fix your own food. Nice place."
