"Bedrooms and bathrooms clean and nice. Lounge bit scruffy.Kitchen was filthy. Cupboards had been painted and paint was still wet. Freezer drawers all broken. Drawers not clean and oven was filthy.Sham as the 3rd floor was very nice with bathroom facilities all good. "

"The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and the location was perfect. The walled garden was perfect for family to gather on warm days. However, although it’s advertised as sleeping 16, it doesn’t have the living space for 16, either to eat or gather. Other staff at the property were very accommodating and we loved the sustainable aspect of everything in the house. "

"A lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings, offering cosy, comfortable rooms that make for a relaxing stay. There are several pubs nearby, and it’s easy to reach York city centre by bus, or by a scenic 40-minute walk. A great balance of peace and convenience — I’ll definitely be returning."
