"Excellent location situated within easy walking distance of the City centre. Ideal for visiting the theatre and exploring the local area as we did. As well as Kelham Island we also took in Weston Park Museum in addition to enjoying the City centre vibe. The hotel it's self was clean and comfortable with attentive staff. Discounted secure parking virtually next door was clean and well maintained."

"You get what you pay for and while there was nothing particularly wrong with The Rutland, you are aware you are staying in a budget hotel. The staff I spoke to were great but trying to order anything when reception werent available was pointless - didnt get served for a drink in the reception area and went to the room to order room service instead, which I cancelled after 20 minutes and no show - next time I'd book a premier inn or something rather than chance somewhere like this. Its a dated building and it shows - I feel like it has a specific target audience and I wasnt that"

"I booked for my son and wife for their wedding night. The Hotel was extremely helpful, allowing them to store an overnight bag prior to the wedding. They added 'Honeymoon' touches to the room, I requested a room with a view even though it was a city centre hotel. It overlooked the Peace Gardens which was really nice. Hotel kept in contact prior to the stay with information re parking etc. which is available with a charge. Good breakfast available if required. All in all everything was just perfect for them."

"A wonderful old steel baron's residence. There were halls of residence next door but I slept fine. A wonderful freshly cooked breakfast with quality ingredients."

"It was all good. Had everything we needed. Lovely bright modern room. Most comfortable bed. Good bathroom and kitchen. Washing machine and dishwasher. Chosen because there was secure parking. Great place to meet granddaughter at Sheffield Uni. Huge choice of restaurants and takeaways on the doorstep."
