"When I arrived, I was struck how beautifully situated (walk out of the station and there it is!) and tastefully decorated the hotel was. It's a gorgeous old building. Staff were wonderful. It was only when I met up with some clients that they said "oh the one run by YMCA.?" And indeed it is. They train young people in hospitality, and I think that makes it even better!! Will definitely stay again. Especially as it was cheaper than other local chain 'budget' hotels"

Great little find
"We didn’t initially plan to stay at The Castle of Comfort (TCoC) but did so as our pre-booked two night Bristol accommodation didn’t live up to its reviews. We searched on Hotels.com for an alternative and found TCoC and what a great little find. Shortly after booking we were called to see if we would be wanting an evening meal. This offer was taken and very welcome after a long drive. The food and service throughout our stay was great. "
