At Alp Grum beyond Lago Bianco there is a hotel with restaurant & buffet. The Bernina Express halts here for around 15minutes while the engine is changed for the steep drop from here down into Northern Italy. We have time to enjoy the scenery and the amazing crisp, clear mountain air at 7000ft.

"Pros: Het huisje is schoon en leuk ingericht. Lekkere open haard. Fijne omheinde tuin voor onze honden. Het uitzicht is prachtig en in de omgeving zijn mooie wandelingen te maken. Ook fijn dan de host ons de 1e keer begeleid heeft naar het huisje. Erg attent bij aankomst met appels en cider. Cons: De weg is laatste deel onverhard en met onze laagliggende auto bijna niet te doen. Hierdoor grotendeels op en rond huisje gebleven. Ook de rijtijd naar dal is behoorlijk(25 min).
