"Although I was expecting a feature room with the four poster bed, the allocated room wasn’t bad and big enough for my family. Unfortunately, the welcome and interaction from the manager on duty when we arrived after a wedding nearby wasn’t the greatest. We had checked prior about check in times and were told it was 24 hours, so wasn’t expecting the resistance we got when we arrived. "Friendly staff, outdoor area to eat which was handy with the recent hot weather . We had breakfast which had a good selection of English breakfast items. Happy with our stay for the price we payed and free parking which is always a bonus and friendly staff."

"The staff were very nice and helpful. The main areas of the hotel are pleasant and the hotel was clearly once a very grand building. The superior double room we had was a bit tired but the main problem was the heat. It was facing the afternoon sun and it had been a hot day. No attempt had been made to draw the curtains to keep the heat out so as a result the room was absolutely stifling. The window would only open about 2 inches so no fresh air could get in overnight.
