"The Det Hanseatiske was a very nice hotel. The room was like a cozy cabin. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location makes for easy walking to all the local areas. I won't fault the hotel but please beware on Saturday night the music from the club next door can be very loud into the late hours of the night. "

"1. excellent location, superb friendly service. very funky we would stay again, room we were in, while pricey $400+ on hotels.com, was a suite with 2 rooms, for 4 nights. 2. some negatives (not big) a. no receipt copy given after eating , evidently had to ask for it to get it which we forgot, but easily charged to room. not sure whether automatically giving recept copy (whether paper or online fine) was due to cultural differences or lack of training. b. food server did not understand order,...

"Easy self service, right in the middle of town, cheap, got everything needed in room and bathroom, clean and modern, easy to reach staff, got extended check out for free. Do recommend. "

"It is very cosy hotel in 100+ year old building. No elevators. Very clean. Rooms good, no complains, location is great: by the 'english park' of Bergen and in the University campus area. Love there is a fridge in the rooms for my beer."
