"Excellent location, although access a bit awkward and parking a bit tight. Cleanliness exceptional in all areas. Food is very good and portions are a good size. Staff helpful when required and attentive. A very enjoyable stay, despite the weather, and look forward to a return visit. "

"Perfectly placed in a quiet spot on the edge of Grasmere with stunning views. Lots of walks from the doorsteps of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, took our luggage, took an interest into our stay, couldn’t fault the service. Breakfast set up was good with a range of cooked options included in the breakfast price. Had one meal at the restaurant, nice setting and atmosphere, professional service, food was decent slightly underwhelming however given the reputation of the restaurant. Spa was small but rarely busy, great for relaxing in after a day out walking. Room was a little tired, in need of renovation, but a good size and very comfortable. Smart TV was a big plus. Separate bath with its own tv felt luxurious. Overall a lovely stay "
