"Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was modern, updated and clean. Loved the decor, the blackout curtains, the firm‑but‑soft bed and it was very convenient to downtown."

"The room was clean, had everything I needed and I really liked it. I did find the bed to be lumpy and uncomfortable. Despite that, I would recommend this motel and will return next year. Perhaps they will upgrade the mattresses."
Salamander Resort And Spa

"The Salamander resort is breathtaking! Spectacular property. The staff was always willing to answer questions or to help in any way possible. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I was so happy to see that it is pet friendly. My only complaint was that guests left their dogs in their rooms while they were out. I heard a few dogs that were clearly distressed at being left alone. As a dog owner, it really upset me. The guests should be required to not leave their pets alone."

"We were very impressed with our stay. We were fully refreshed when we woke up the next morning. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay there in the future."
Days Inn By Wyndham Culpeper

"You could tell it was an older style hotel that has been remodeled. The doors do open to the outside which is not something I'm generally comfortable with but it was Culpepper, Virginia. A pretty safe place for a single, female traveler. The only real complaint I have is the storage of the cleaning crews carts. They were stored outside along the back walk way. It was raining when I checked in, it made for a difficult walk from my car to my room. Other than that, everything was fine. If you're looking for a good place for breakfast, Frost Cafe was really good. Also, if you like coffee, Ravens Nest is the place to go. For lunch, Dtom, Dtun and Pinto Thai. Both places were really good."
