On our departure, it was the executive chef, who happened to be nearby, who stepped in to help carry our luggage down the staircase — an unexpected but deeply appreciated gesture that speaks volumes about the people "

They allowed us to spend three weeks in their first floor apartment and made us feel like we were part of the family.
