Resorts in Anuradhapura District

Our stay at Uga Ulagalla was by far the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Far from the busy roads and honking buses this multi acre property was an oasis. Bungalows are situated all over the property, some with private plunge pools. Rooms are large with an entry way, living room, dressing area, oversized bathroom and bedroom. The food was delicious with a variety of entrees between Western and Sri Lankan. The Sri Lankan food was outstanding. Arrival greeting and check-in is friendly,...

We had a beautiful and peaceful stay at this property. The pool is exquisite and the rooms are so cool and beautiful. The wildlife is astounding and it was so tranquil to quietly watch it unfold around us. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well, arranging for us a trip to Lion Rock.

Beautiful and tranquil location on a quiet lake. Stayed in a wonderful cabin surrounded by nature. A charming Eco tourism hotel. Fantastic pool, delicious food. The friendly local staff takes great pride in offering guests an outstanding retreat.

The hotel is beautifully situated, the tent rooms felt like living in a forest with modern conveniences.

Listen people- this place is AMAZING!!! Like living in a dream, not less. It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum! The rooms are so special that I can’t describe- beautiful, air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was really amazing. When you book a room, contact the property and book also the village tour & safari. You will get a great full day package. I will definitely go back there!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are good to very good. The pool is wonderful and the grounds well kept. Beware the guides and venders and Tuc tuc drivers at Sigiriya Rock. They will overcharge dramatically if allowed. You need to be good at bargaining in Sri Lanka. (Which I am not but learning quick). Agree on price in advance. Ask hotel manager or staff for help. Don't be afraid to use the bus. I found it fun to ride and easy to catch and a super bargain.

Wonderful staff, peaceful place, nice breakfast

Hotel was amazing and the staff catered to all our needs. The location was remote, beautiful and quiet. Excellent beach.

The hotel staff were kind and attentive throughout our short stay. The room was clean and well appointed, and the view over the river was pleasant and a little different compared to more traditional sea views. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in an above average hotel in Trincomalee. The only downside, as with many hotels in the area, is the direct surroundings are not so pleasant. Access to the hotel is made down a pot-holed dirt track. A tuk tuk or bicycle is...

I liked the friendliness of the staff and calmness of the resort.

Unique, cool little hotel that was very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff.

Really good size room for family of 6, breakfast and drivers accomodation available also
