La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lynchburg at Liberty Univ.

"Stayed at this hotel for the first time during LU check-in. It was extremely close to liberty, which was helpful. The rooms were clean and while the bathrooms were a bit on the smaller side, I was grateful the sink was outside of the shower/toilet area. My only “complaint“ was that when our new towels were replenished we didn’t get any washcloths and I had to go searching. But that was not the fault of the hotel. (Everything was just so busy and chaotic that a few things were overlooked). The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a good stay and we would definitely go back again."

"Refreshments were nice upon arrival . Loved the mango water at breakfast and the staff yhwt made the lemon water was very helpful . Kitchen staff at breakfast was also so nice. All was quiet and comfortable. Could have a dark roast at bfast lol but was glad ro have good coffee"

"Building looked a little run down but rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was the same every day but it was tasty and kept well stocked with a variety of options."

"The rooms are fairly small. We had for adults during move in week for school. It was very close quarters. The bathroom is very small!"

"I like Spark. The only thing I will say is the breakfast was a bit disappointing. I didn't expect anything grand, but the bagels were getting old. The only other choices were yogurt and hard boiled eggs."

Longacre of Appomattox

"My husband and I stayed for three nights at Longacre. The owner is very kind. The house is spacious, but I did find it to be a little dated. We stayed in the manor room which was very big but seems like it was decorated from the early 90s. Also, there was no option to lower the temperature in the room, so I had to use a fan from the closet to try to cool the room down. The grounds behind the house are beautiful and peaceful."
