"This was one of THE best experiences I have ever had in all of my travels, including the two weeks in Japan. I struggled to decide which temple lodging to choose in Koyasan, and I am so glad I went with Joki-in. The check-in experience was wonderful, welcoming and helpful staff. They tour you through the entire property and help you adjust to temple life. "I love how accommodating the staff was here. We were nearly an hour late for our dinner but they went above and beyond to serve us anyway. The food was one of the best we've had throughout our entire trip of Japan as well. The room and atmosphere was also very cozy and we loved pretty much everything!"

"We had a very pleasant stay. The food was excellent, everything was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. We especially enjoyed the morning ceremony, which made the experience memorable. On the downside, the stay felt quite expensive by any standard. Considering the price, it was disappointing that every step in the hallway could be heard, and that drinks other than tea were not included."

"Wonderful experience. Morning prayer fire ceremony with the tour of the temple was unforgettable. The temple has a piece of Buddha ashes. Shojin Ryori (Buddhist meal) was delicious and amazing. I would definitely be back for solo trip in the future. "

"I wasn’t expecting multi-course dinners that included sashimi and other top quality ingredients. It was incredible, delicious and filling. Great breakfast buffet too. I was delighted with our stay, my boyfriend wasn’t happy about having to go to the onsen to shower, but he got into the spirit and enjoyed himself."

"El templo es muy bonito, pero la experiencia muy decepcionante. En el check in no dan información del templo, te informan de horario de cena, desayuno y ceremonia, sin más. Las habitaciones están en fuera del templo, por lo que a las 17. No hay ningún tipo de contacto ni actividad para hacer ni te ofrecen info. "This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"It is a very new hotel, new concept of hotel management, so we are old age learning new way of hotel staying ! :) Remember this hotel is 10am checked out , I didn’t notice it … so we ere a bit late to checkout, but the lady in charge is very friendly and helpful, very polite too ! All in all, the hotel provides us a clean and safety environment! Happy stay ! Thank you !"

"Le transport vers la gare de Kada est bien organisée. La réception nous a appelée un taxi puisque nous etions a l'exterieur des heures de navettes. Environ 1000 ¥ cest raisonnable. La vue est imprenables et que les repas traditionnelle (souper et dejeuner) délicieux. "
