Disgusting stains on bed bases, dirt all around skirting boards, carpet stained, chair has a hole, curtains stained with brown, noisy, toilet didn’t stop running water, shower terrible, I could still go on.. save your money stay somewhere else.. "Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good in the bar but over priced. My room was grubby, the bedding and bathroom were clean but there was dust and dirt on the ledges and windowsills. No shower gel in the bathroom either. I was also above the kitchen there was lots of banging about outside and a constant humming/droning from what sounded like extractor fans. This did stop around 9pm but then started up again at 10pm. It was really quite loud, I could still hear it when I had my headphones in. I was charged twice, payment taken by expedia and by the hotel. I have been advised that the hotel have refunded my payment but nothing showing yet. It is such a shame this beautiful building is being left to deteriorate but not spending money is one thing, there is no excuse for it not being cleaned properly."
