"We were given a room that having viewed others friends rooms was the worst, we had a very small room that was cold and asked for a heater and a view of a roof that was very dilapidated, not sure if we got the worse room because booked through Expedia also we had stuff left in the room from the previous guest"

We stayed in room 215, in the right corner of the room had major water damage, wall paper and ceiling were brown. The bathroom was nice enough, wet room and everything looked clean. The ceiling maybe made of papier mache as you can hear every footstep from the rooms above Finally, the actual stay, 215 is above the function room, I had a 7 year old in tears as she couldnt get to sleep.as the noise was ridiculous, the volume was reduced around 11:45 but it could still be heard. I mentioned it on the way out when I was asked how my stay was, the reponse to my honest feedback "we cant control noisy guests" Anyway, I'd say fine as a base for the races if you're planning to make noise yourself, otherwise avoid."

I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers."

"Lift was out of order. Door card didn't work so had to go back to reception. Bloke on reception didn't apologise for the card not working, just told me "it is working" despite the fact that I had just tried it! He finally sorted and just shoved it back at me. Thank you! Room was extremely warm (we stayed May Bank Holiday and we certainly did not have a heatwave!). One bed was horribly soft with no support whatsoever. Pillows were very poor quality and almost non existent. Hotel was extremely noisy - there must have been a few families staying at the same time who knew each other as the kids were running between rooms, up and down the corridors shouting and screaming, banging on the doors and parents were shouting to each other from one end of the hallway to the other to "talk" to each other. Finally quietens down and we get woken up in the early hours by a couple of blokes who have clearly had an awesome night out. They spent ages in the corridors having a very loud discussion about their pub*c hair and then singing about it! Have stayed before but won't book again after this. There must have been a change of ownership for it to have gone down hill so quickly"
