Originally built as “The Aspen Studio,” where recording artists from Los Angeles and New York came to make records in the mountains, this home was fully renovated in 2022 by Hansen Construction. The original exposed wood beams and river-rock stone remain; everything else is new.

The main level is built for gathering: a wood-burning fireplace, a wood-beamed living and dining room, and a NanaWall that folds open onto the deck. The deck has a sweeping view of Independence Pass, a private hot tub, and a gas grill.

The kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking, with a complete spice pantry on hand. Downstairs there is a full home theater and a large steam room.

Sleeping arrangements

Three bedrooms with plush bedding (upstairs bathrooms have heated floors and large walk-in showers). The two upstairs bedrooms and the living area each have their own A/C.
Custom bunk room sleeping five: two queen bunks and one single.
A small overflow bunk nook that sleeps two (no closet) — good for kids.
Four full bathrooms.

Location
The house is one mile by road from the Aspen core. The free bus stops at the front door every 30 minutes with service downtown, to the Aspen Mountain gondola, and to Rubey Park for connections to Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass. Equally good as a winter ski base or a summer home for hiking, biking and the Music Festival.

Because of the cleaning the house requires between guests, check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 9:00 am. Pets considered on request. Two outdoor parking spaces; no garage.
