"Although comfortable, the whole hotel is very very dated. Shower was a dribble and couldn’t use, toilet didn’t flush properly, and a very musty dated smell. Noisy at the front as not double glazed and main road outside. "

"Attentive and friendly staff. Historic building, lots of character. Breakfast was croissants, muffins, toast, juice and great strong coffee! The bed was huge and comfy, no street noise. Close to restaurants in town. Definitely recommend this hotel, it’s different and quirky with a big personality. "

"My kids really enjoyed the animals and play area. Collecting their own eggs for breakfast was a real bonus. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Thank you!"

"On arrival an amazing young lad helped with bags and putting bikes away. Rooms excellent, food excellent. Be nice if breakfast staff was as personable as she was efficient. No hairdryer in room. Overall a fantastic place to stay."

"Lovely welcome and excellent service. Room was clean and well equipped and I had a good night's sleep. While there I had dinner and breakfast and could not fault the food quality or portion size. I will definitely be staying there the next time I am in the area. "

"Very centrally located, everything within walking distance. Quite a small room but very comfortable. Not all rooms have windows, we did, but could be a bit claustrophobic maybe if you were going to spend a lot of time in your room, but excellent as a base for seeing the sights. No restaurant or bar, but brunch bar just next door excellent and discount for guests of hotel. Lots of bars very close by."
