Günstig gelegenes Hotel in der City, sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal, sauber, Zimmerservice war bei uns super - jeden Tag frische Handtücher und Kopfkissenbezüge, das Bett,das täglich noch einmal neu geordnet wurde, bot jedesmal eine „künstlerische“ Überraschung, Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert ( nicht weit entfernt vom Omoniaplatz, dem Polytechnikum und dem Nationalmuseum)

Fair for price

Friendly but the air con did not work well, wouldn't cool the room so it was too stuffy. And the room was overpowered by the smell of bleach which was eye watering.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel is outdated and meets budget comfort expectations. Bathroom was unusually arranged (toilet behind the door) and bed was a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise not too bad. As long as you’re aware of your surroundings, you shouldn’t be too worried about Omonia’s reputation as an unsafe district.

En liten perle bak en "dyster" fasade. Ble meget vennlig mottatt og behandlet under mine 4 døgn. Rommet lite men bra. Godt renhold,god seng,Wi-Fi,Kjøleskap m/isboks og Aircondition. Liten balkong mot trafikkert gate men bra lyd-isolering mot rommet..

L'hôtel est bien placé a 3 minutes de la station omonia. La chambre est correcte et la salle de douche est simple. Le personnel est très sympathique et souriant. Si vous avez un petit budget c'est pas mal.

Athens, lots to see but beware of picpockets

The hotel is a little tired but you get what you pay for. The staff were very helpful and friendly the Metro is a 5-10 min walk away, however the pickpockets are notorious. We had a phone stolen on it and on the same day a run in with a separate group of thieves. The whole area of Athens is very run down with many rough sleepers and graffiti everywhere. However the hotel has a 24 hour front desk.

Cheap and close to metro

The room was rather clean and personnel was cleaning it every day. The facilities were terrible. Two room mine and my friend were without ac. Wasn’t working and it was very cold at night . The bathroom telephone was broken as well without water pressure. At least the water was hot at all times. The balcony door was not possible to totally close and i was worried if someone would get inside when i was away.

The hotel staff went beyond my expectations for customer service. They have a 24 hour front desk. Each person spoke very good English, had happy positive attitudes, and smiled/greeted you. I would compare it equal to Disney guest service. The location of the hotel is good. The street is quiet and a short distance locsted Central between a subway station, national library, and the Athens ancient market and Hadrian’s library. If booking tours, I recommend using the agency the hotel works with. Their prices are good and will pick you up near by. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were also large for a European style hotel. The beds were comfortable and European style.

Sympathisches Hotel in Zentrumsnähe

Für eine Wochenendreise nach Athen ist dieses kleine Hotel in Zentrumsnähe völlig ausreichend. Es ist sauber, die Logistik funktioniert, die Atmosphäre ist sympathisch, man ist schnell an der Metro-Station. Wie andere Bewertungen es auch schon sagen, liegt es nah an einer befahrenen Straße. Außerdem war das Bad wirklich sehr klein. Die Dusche ist winzig. Für die Duschbrause gab es keine geeignete Halterung. Ich würde das Hotel trotzdem wieder buchen ...

5 minute walk to metro

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Just a short walk to the metro. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Since we spent most of our time away from our room, we didn't need deluxe accommodations. The area looks a little rough, but we never felt uncomfortable. Would recommend to singles or couples.

Da Hotel ist bestens geeignet als Ausgangspunkt um Athen zu besichtigen. Hohe Ansprüche darf man dabei nicht haben. Uns war wichtig, dass es war ist und die Betten bequem sie. Das hat das Hotel bestens erfüllt.

Economy Hotel Close to Main Sites

The hotel room was cozy with a balcony off a busy road - but the door was very good in blocking the street noise. Good air conditioner, had in room safe and small fridge that worked well. Room was cleaned and tidied daily and was a please to return to at the end of a long day. The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable very nice people. The only complaint was the pillow just too hard for my taste, when I go back I will bring my own pillow lol ! Thank you for making our stay in Athens special and worry free, Best wishes to everyone at Moka Hotel !

Hotel customer service is bad.

Rooms are not maintained, shower is 2'X2' no walls so when showering water flows onto bathroom floor. The room key have to be plugged into a socket as soon you enter the room to turn on electricity to the room. Uncomfortable beds are 2' high from the ground, and blanket smelled bad, and very old. At night time all lights including hallways are turned off. Without lights it was pitch dark in the hallway it appear scary not knowing who else is the hallway. Old elevator, you have to pull door outward to open the elevator, second door open by itself. Only 3 maybe 4 person elevator. I have stayed in 3-5 starts hotel, but this is the worst experience I ever had. I will never go back to Moka hotel or recommend it to anyone.
