on a side street surrounded by older run down buildings but once inside it's a little oasis, very nice, clean, modern room, great reception staff. not a fan of the weird front glass door, be careful you don't catch your toe in the bottom of it when opening(happened to me, not fun)

My partner and I enjoyed a truly unforgettable experience that left us thoroughly impressed. We luxuriated with a jacuzzi in our room. This was definitely our most relaxing holiday due to the time we spent unwinding in there. Also, having a kitchen was our saving grace for the days we missed breakfast. Finally, of course Mario! What a pleasure having him check us in! The other receptionists were also super helpful and reliable when Mario wasn’t around.

Jo was the best!

Our stay at The Newel Psychiko was excellent from start to finish. The check-in experience was truly the best I’ve ever had. Jo greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel welcome. She even went up to the room herself to make sure everything was in perfect condition, then personally escorted us and gave us a quick tour of the room. That level of care and attention really stood out. The breakfast buffet was very good as well, with fresh fruit and plenty of options to start the day right. Overall, an outstanding stay—I would highly recommend The Newel Psychiko and can’t wait to return!

Loved it. Modern not far from the metro station. You can be in the city center in 15 minutes. The hotel is super clean and modern. Great view from the terrace where you have breakfast on the 4th floor. I definitely recommend staying at the Newel hotel.

This hotel was an interesting stay. The rooms decor was quite good with a mininimalist approach which was classy yet functional. My challenge was the jetted tub did not work and getting it to work was never explained and it was a big disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the claim of sound proofing. Nothing could be further from the truth I heard everything that happened outside. Breakfast was good and fresh and the staff were excellent

What sets the hotel apart is the staff - from the front desk to the morning breakfast team. The hotel room itself has a modern/contemporary style, spacious and very clean. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the metro making it convenient to the airport and central Athens. It’s also quiet at night!

The Newel Psychiko was extremely nice quarters. Nick at the front desk was exceptional with assisting us finding execursions. However, don’t arrive too early as check in is a little bit later. We had to wait until after check-in time for our room because it was still being cleaned BUT it was well worth the wait. I’d stay again. More than enough room and the patio/balcony was AMAZING!!!!

Newel Psychiko is an impressive, modern-looking hotel. The rooms and lobby area were minimalist and very clean. The location is about a 15-20 minute drive from Central Athens (Plaka, monastiraki, etc) so we had to take more taxis than we expected. I would only note that the room was was not cleaned after we had left a sign on the door to please clean the room. Overall we had a pleasant stay

Missed potential, mostly bad hospitality

The neighborhood is calm, breakfast is good and the staff at the caffe are kind yet I cannot say the same thing for rest. Even if we had right for free upgrade and there were available rooms, they did not upgrade. The room is claimed to be 40m2 but I do not think it is more than 25 m2. The furtinures and chairs were full of stains. Also it is misleading that they advertise a basement floor room as loft room. One of us got sivk asked an extra half hour or one hour late checin, they even did not try to assist. We really tried to like as it has great potential but there are things feeling off spirit in addition to things I mentioned.

Stylish hotel in a central yet quiet area.

I spent 3 days at Newel Psychiko and I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is new and stylish with elegant details. The architecture style is minimalistic and the breakfast area is very cozy with beautiful views👌 My room was relaxing and clean with a spacious bathroom and shower and a private balcony. The only things I didn’t like in the room was the mattress and the pillows which do not match the elegance of its spaces - the mattress was very soft with low quality materials unable to support the body enough to get rested while all 4 pillows provided were also very uncomfortable for the back of the neck. I would also like to mention that the mirror is far away from the wardrobe to the other side of the room which was not very convenient when you get dressed and need to cross the whole room to reach the mirror. There was complementary espresso and instant coffee as well as tea, milk , sugar and honey but NO complementary water at all - only option was the mini bar water. There is a fully equipped kitchen where I could prepare my own meals. Breakfast was freshly made with relatively good ingredients and rather limited options. An espresso machine covers all your needs for coffee. The staff was excellent, very well trained and professional and at the same time friendly and ready to support any of my needs. The cleaning ladies were also amazing, very polite and supporting.
