"This is such a beautiful Riad. The staff took very good care of us. The beds were softer than some other Riads we stayed in. The breakfast was good. Our room was clean and spacious (we stayed in the peacock room/honeymoon suite). It's a little difficult to find, like many riads in the old medinas of Moroccan cities but the staff helped us out."

"La casa espanyola is truly what I would call a hidden gem in Fes. It is beautiful, surprisingly affordable, and superbly clean. Mohammad, our hotel manager, was very very nice and helpful. He was wry polite, always available , and had very good recommendations about places to see. They made us a wonderful breakfast every morning with chocolate croissants, eggs, pancakes, fruits and vegetable assortment, tea and coffee. "He tried to cancel us 2 hours before check in. He said that is because he works with multiple platforms at the same time and had overbooking. We witnessed two other couple of customers with similar situations, one of them being told upon arrival. In the end, first night we stayed in another hotel booked by him and next night we had to move again to the hotel originally booked without being told with enough time, however he asked us to move again and we refused."

"Stunning riad with really professional and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast on the terrace was lovely, and our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff helped us book a private taxi on the last day and also helped us with our luggage as we had to walk a distance out to access the main road. Accessibility is probably the only downside as you have to walk around 10 minutes from the main road to get to the property. "

Quiet and Peaceful

"Our stay was very nice and enjoyable. Mounaim greeted us as we entered. He was very nice, courteous, and made us feel welcomed. He had a sit down and we had a lovely tea before we headed up to our room. The room we booked was very spacious. The Riad was beautiful and decorated. Of course, with any older structure, there are some things that you have to work around. It’s an experience. We enjoyed it, but bougie people might not. But its not the end of the world. The Riad is in a very quiet, but strategic area. We very much enjoyed ourselves."
