"I'll start this by saying I remember when they built this Candlewood. The hotel is no where near new but you cannot really tell it's age. All I can say is for an extended stay...it ranks you there with some of the better hotels I have stayed in. Super friendly staff and the property was super clean. The room was fantastic. Really clean and well supplied. Only noted two things that I can say was a "things to improve". One, regular coffee in the room please and the parking lot was full. They did have decaf coffee and I am absolutely sure the staff would have found me regular if I asked. I didn't because I took the short walk to the coffee shop just out of the parking lot. This is a plus in my book. When I travel back to New Bern again I will definitely look for a room here first."

"Requested the quietest room possible due to a surgical patient on board that would fair better with immediate sleep upon arrival. Also requested as early as possible check-in due to an earlier than expected surgery time assigned for the morning of check-in. Both requests were met and we couldn't have been happier!!"

"Its location from the main highway was ideal. It felt like a safe location. The staff were super friendly. Other guests were friendly and we exchanged several pleasantries with people just wanting to say, "Hello" - that is not normal where we are from, so it's odd being around nice people. Royal Farms next door was convenient."
