"This was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at, especially the bathroom. It was also quiet, the beds were very comfortable. A small unique feature that I appreciated was that there was a black washcloth available for removing makeup. The room also had great lighting. The only thing that could have been better was if the fridge was bigger. Other than that, we were very impressed with it and pleased."

"The property was beautiful and decently maintained from what I could tell. We had a cobweb on our door we had to clear to enter our room. The toilet seat was held on with one bolt and is an accident waiting to happen. We used some electrical tape to keep it in place. The sink had toothpaste in it. The door code proces worked great. I didn't have to wait and complete paperwork to check in. We were not there long enough to really check out anything."

"Beautiful home with serene quiet surroundings, very well stocked. The host has thought of everything that one may probably need for a long stay or short one. Perfect driving distance from most attractions nearby yet perfect privacy and cabin feel. Perfect for families with kids too. Only thing is if you are visiting during summer remember to switch on the AC early on as it takes a while to cool down we missed doing it,but not a big thing."

"I had the two-level double queen bed suite. Great for a family or couple(s) on a getaway. Great kitchen, closets, and storage space, and 2 bathrooms &2 entrances which was very convenient. Could use some updating, but if you're going for that lodge feel, this is a great option not far from town."

"The views are incredible and watching the changing weather patterns is quite a treat. The house is large, with plenty of room for everyone (even though it was just the 2 of us!). It’s centrally located, yet very private. There is easy access to Banner Elk and Beech Mountain. The kitchen is well stocked, making preparing meals at home easy. And the bedrooms/bathrooms are very separate, allowing everyone their privacy with great common space for times shared together. We’ve stayed here twice - and will keep coming back. The owner is very responsive both before, during and after the rental."

"Absolutely wonderful stay at Parkview Lodge & Cabins! My boyfriend and I had such a lovely experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They were thoughtful enough to offer us extra towels and even provided water, which made us feel so well taken care of. What really stood out to us was how accommodating and helpful everyone was. We accidentally left my boyfriend’s pillow behind, and they were kind enough to agree to ship it all the way to us in Florida rather than simply leaving us to figure it out ourselves. That level of kindness and customer service is so rare and really says a lot about the people who run this place. The lodge and cabins made our stay feel comfortable, peaceful, and memorable. We’re so grateful for how warmly we were treated and would absolutely 100% recommend Parkview Lodge & Cabins to anyone visiting Avery County, North Carolina. We would happily stay here again! ❤️"
