Waterfront Condo with Amazing Sunsets

"Mariner's Terrace" is a soundfront condo with the most amazing sunset views across the sound from a covered deck. Just a 5-minute walk to the beach. 1 BR condo (check sleeping options below) with full well-stocked kitchen and full bath and an additional private seasonal outside shower. Walkable to restaurants, ice cream, bar, and shopping. Just 1 mile from Avon Pier.

Arrival Check In time is 4:00 p.m. (often earlier)
Departure Check Out time is 9:00 a.m.

Queen bed with pillow-top mattress in bedroom.
There is also a pull-out twin sofa in the den and a queen inflatable mattress.

HEPA covers on all pillows and mattresses.

Keurig and traditional coffee maker.

Indoor Ninja Grill/Airfryer

$5 self-pay boat launch ramp on site. You can launch kayaks from side of property.

Note: The boat dock itself is private property and not for condo use. However, you can rent or bring Kayaks and launch just outside from the ramp.

Plenty of shops available for all equipment rentals.

2 Adirondack chairs and 2 bar height adirondack chairs on private deck overlooking the Pamlico Sound for perfect western sunset view.

Bath towels and sheets are supplied.
Bring your own beach towels.

Hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent are provided. Shampoo and shower gel are supplied. 1 roll of paper towels, a starter pack of toilet paper, and 2 trash bags are provided to get you started upon arrival.

2 beach chairs are included.

Covered parking underneath unit available on a first-come basis. Otherwise, outdoor parking.

You can walk across HWY 12 to the beach. It is only 3 blocks away. Avon has a Food Lion and Ace Hardware just 2 miles away. And plenty of other beach shops and restaurants are also available.

High-Speed WIFI and Cable/Roku TVs in family room and bedroom.

Trip Insurance is highly recommended for Hatteras Island.

No Pets allowed except service animals.

Electric car charging station at Avon Pier 1.1 miles away and also at Food Lion Shopping Center.

It was perfect for what we needed! Bed was comfortable and plenty of room in bedroom for suitcase etc. We didn't use the kitchen, but anything we could have needed was there. Most importantly- it was clean!

Avon Sound Sunsets

The owner Mike was extremely friendly before, during , and after our stay. Up to and including mailing back a charger we mistakenly left behind. The other guests around us were a bit loud, but we enjoyed having a weather protected balcony to sit on in any weather. The Froggy Dog Pub was in walking distance and Food Lion was close by.

Relaxing Getaway

This was our second trip to Avon staying in this condo. The location is beautiful, the place is well appointed and thought-out with items to make the place feel like home. And, communication is prompt, responsive and friendly. Great place!

Just our size!

This cute condo was the perfect size for my husband and me. We stayed for 3 nights and met up with our niece, nephew, and his wife, who rented a house nearby. It can be difficult to find a 1 bedroom rental, and this condo fit the bill. The condo was as described in the listing, and was very clean and well stocked. Communications with the owner were timely. We particularly appreciated the beautiful view of the sound while sitting on the balcony. We did not get to enjoy the nearby pool and tennis courts, but maybe next time!

Spring Getaway

The property was as described. It was very clean. There were a lot of dishes, glasses and silverware. The place was close to everything that we wanted to do. My husband purchased a permit to drive on the beach to fish. He caught a lot of croakers. We had great weather. Mike was very responsive and checked in on us. The only negative thing was that the condo had a bit of a musty odor to it.

No Better Place to Stay Near Avon

A little confusing to find but that's the only negative. Everything could not have been any more clean or in any better order. If we're ever looking for a place to stay in the area again, I hope this will be available.

Absolutely wonderful!

This condo was perfect for me. I loved the views from the very comfortable furniture on the back deck. The sunsets are amazing here! The walk to the beach was easy enough even carrying the usual too much stuff. The location in Avon is ideal. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed it.

Mariner's Terrrace Getaway

Wonderful stay! Awesome property! Perfectly clean! Would give it 10 stars if that were an option. Very comfortable with all the amenities needed for a marvelous stay. Beautifully decorated. Fantastic view. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the pelicans, cormorants, and gulls as well as the jumping mullet. Mike is an excellent host! This is our second time staying at Mariner's Terrace. Definitely would stay again.

Long weekend getaway

While we have been going to Avon for many years, we had not noticed the condos not far off the road and right on the sound. It was a beautiful spot, and the condo was lovely. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. And, communication with the host was prompt and clear.

A FANTASTIC Getaway!

This was a terrific retreat to celebrate a milestone birthday with my husband. Our Host: Mike Burnett was sensational! So well organized, lots of great planning information and maps! The condo was clean and accurate to the listing pictures. We don’t eat out much, so the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We felt like we were staying at a friend’s home as opposed to a beaten up rental machine! We look forward to returning!

Awesome condo and stay!

Super clean and well-kept 1-bedroom condo in Avon that is ideal for a couple! It is on the sound side so the sunsets are incredible and the gorgeous ocean beaches are close and simple to access. The owner, Mike is quick to respond to any communication. He provides clear directions that make driving to and accessing the condo a snap! The location is superb--close to Food Lion, restaurants, and ice cream shops. We would love to stay here again--it was just perfect!

Nice and quiet neighborhood!

Beautiful condo nice and clean everything worked. The kitchen is fully supplied everything you need to cook with drink and eat. Check in was easy. No hassles! This was a mini honey moon and first time Avon. Beautiful beaches and not crowded. We went fishing on the Sound. Went by Frank and Fran's and we were recommended mile marker 52 to fish. Beautiful secluded cove.

First time ever in North Carolina/Outer Banks!

The property was absolutely amazing! Exactly as described on the website. Everything was clean & neat - very well done. Mike had everything needed to make it a great vacation - it was really like a "home away from home" for a week. The property overlooks the sound & it was very convenient to get around town, get to the various OBX beaches, etc. Mike's advice on what to do & where to go was spot on - from where to eat to suggestions on where to rent kayaks for paddling the sound. My wife & I have gone on numerous vacations over the years & this may have been the best one yet. Perfect in every way! Very happy & would stay here again in a second. I also highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the OBX/Avon area.

Sweet condo in a great location

My 80 year old mother stayed here for a week over the holidays and loved this place. It's a terrific location on the water behind the Froggy Dog. She loved watching the pelicans and reading on the deck -- and the sunsets were phenomenal! She said the bed was extremely comfortable and she appreciated the extra blankets and pillows. She figured out how to use the TV without any trouble. It had everything she needed for a relaxing and pleasant stay, and everything worked well. The check-in and checkout process was simple and the communication with Mike was terrific -- he's available if needed and clearly cares about the experience of his guests. Made everything so easy. Highly recommended!!!

Room with a view!

The condo was conveniently located with a restaurant and coffee shop. Short drive to many places of interest- Pea Island for kayaking and bird watching, Haulover for watching the kite boarders and wind surfers and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The condo itself is perfect for a couple and like many other reviewers, we spent a lot of time on the porch just chilling with a beautiful view. We did a couple of kayak paddles out the back door on the self pay boat ramp and found some interesting marches just south of the outlet to the sound. There is also a canal that goes for a ways just to the left as you can see from the porch. Communication with the owner was excellent. Our only complaint would be the electric stovetop needs an update.

Great getaway!

My husband and I had an amazing time last week in Avon, North Carolina. Mariner’s Terrace was a perfect spot. It was just big enough for the 2 of us and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals there. The outside balcony was a great place to relax and just chill. Mike was readily available for all questions and got back to us quickly with any concerns. The only thing we would do next time is definitely have a wagon for the beach! It is only a short walk, but carrying all of our stuff got a little cumbersome through the dunes. We had never been down into North Carolina that far before. But, the beach was so quiet and peaceful and absolutely beautiful! We definitely will be returning!
